What's on the shelf and what it cost: stock keeps itself.

Stock and service items, warehouses, stock vouchers and price lists are tied to your invoices. A sales invoice takes goods out of stock, a purchase invoice puts them in; no adjusting stock by hand.

Account-Specific Price Lists

Set up a price list for a dealer, a wholesale buyer or a contract customer. The list is tied to the account; that account's invoices take their prices from it. An item not on the list comes with the sales price on its card.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I give a customer their own prices?

Yes. In Coudy you set up a price list for a dealer, a wholesale buyer or a customer with an agreement and tie it to their account. That account's invoices take the prices from the list on their own; an item not on the list comes in at the selling price on its card.

Do I set up services as stock items too?

Yes. In Coudy services are set up as service items; no stock is kept, but their prices and reports sit beside the goods. The same card is used on invoices, so a labour or service line is searched and added to an invoice just like a stock item.

How is the average cost worked out?

In Coudy each purchase updates the item's cost as a weighted average of the quantity on hand and the new purchase price. Purchases made from incoming e-invoices update it too. The sales profitability and stock value reports use this cost, so what each item earns shows line by line.

How do I fix a count difference?

In Coudy you enter what is on the shelf on a count voucher; the difference posts to stock and stays on record. Every voucher shows in the stock movements under its own number, so you can always see why an item's quantity changed.
